How it works

How Does HoneyBoost Work? What the Label and Research Show

Quick answer

HoneyBoost works the way any gummy supplement does: you chew one gummy (4.2 g) and swallow seven listed lines, from zinc 2.5 mg to tongkat ali 25 mg. No study has tested the product, so nobody can say what it does for drive or stamina. Studies of single plants used at least 8 times more.

The short version

What is HoneyBoost and how does it work?

HoneyBoost is a dietary supplement in gummy form. It does not work like a medicine: it is a chewable serving of seven listed lines, and the label does not name a mechanism.

The front says “Male Vitality Formula”. Its claims carry a dagger that leads to the FDA statement. The label does not say the gummy treats erectile dysfunction or raises testosterone.

So the answer has two parts: what is in the gummy, and what research found about each line alone.

Inside one gummy

What is in one HoneyBoost gummy?

One gummy lists zinc as zinc gluconate at 2.5 mg, tongkat ali root extract at 25 mg, and 10 mg each of maca, horny goat weed, damiana, mucuna and L-arginine. Every amount is printed, so there is no proprietary blend.

The six lines other than zinc add up to 75 mg, about 1.8% of the 4,200 mg gummy. About 71% of the gummy is sugar by weight.

The seven label lines, as printed
Label linePer gummyPlant it was made from
Zinc (as zinc gluconate)2.5 mg (23% DV)Not a plant

Horny goat weed extract 8:110 mg80 mg plant

Tongkat ali root extract 100:125 mg2,500 mg root
Mucuna seed extract, 98% L-DOPA10 mg (9.8 mg L-DOPA)Standardized extract
L-arginine10 mgAmino acid

The third column is the plant used to make the extract, not what is in the gummy. The extract ratios page shows the math, and the ingredients page profiles each line.

What research shows

Does HoneyBoost work for drive and stamina?

We found no evidence that it does, because no one has studied it. Research on single ingredients is small, mixed, or done at larger amounts than one gummy holds.

Tongkat ali is the best studied. A 2022 meta-analysis of five trials found higher total testosterone with certain Eurycoma extracts (Eurycoma and testosterone (meta-analysis, 2022)). LiverTox adds that free testosterone did not rise in the trial it reviewed (LiverTox, Tongkat Ali). Those trials used other extracts and doses.

Maca raised self-rated desire in a 12-week trial of healthy men, with no change in testosterone (Gonzales 2002, Maca, desire and testosterone). Horny goat weed, damiana and mucuna have little or no human data at the label amounts.

  1. Front of the label“Male Vitality Formula”The dagger leads to the FDA statement: not evaluated, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. We found no study of this formula for any outcome. FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold. (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements) (FTC, Health Products Guidance)
  2. Front of the label“Intense Strength, Peak Stamina, Performance Support”These are label icons with daggers. The NIH-linked sources we read do not test this gummy, and each plant on the panel is present at 10 to 25 mg of extract. (Shin 2010, Maca and sexual function (review)) (LiverTox, Tongkat Ali)
  3. Front of the label“Bigger Drive. Harder. Longer.”A marketing line with a dagger. No source we found tests any of the seven lines at the label amounts for erections or how long they last, and a doctor should look into erection trouble. (Mayo Clinic, Erectile dysfunction) (Barbonetti 2024, Nutraceuticals for ED (network meta-analysis))
  4. Offer page“premium formula support for male performance”The page names energy, libido and testosterone support. Studies of single plants used far more than one gummy holds, and a maca trial found desire rose with no change in testosterone. (Gonzales 2002, Maca, desire and testosterone) (Eurycoma and testosterone (meta-analysis, 2022))
  5. Common question“Does honey boost testosterone?”A 2019 review says the evidence is mainly from animal studies and that human trials are still needed. The label lists honey flavor, not honey, among its ingredients. (Honey and testosterone (review, 2019))
  6. Label front“Lab Tested, No Artificial Additives”The same label lists 'artificial color' under Other ingredients. We could not find a lab report on the supplied pages, so we only report the line and the conflict. (USP, Verification Program)
  7. Offer page“100% Satisfaction or Your Money Back 60-Day Guarantee”The offer page says 60 days. The seller's FAQ page adds conditions the offer page does not mention. Confirm the terms at checkout before you order.

Claims as printed on the brand panels. Health claims in ads need competent and reliable scientific evidence, generally human trials of the same product (FTC, Health Products Guidance).

Amounts

How much HoneyBoost would you need to match a study?

Far more than one gummy. The studied amounts we found are at least 8 times the label amount for tongkat ali and at least 15 times for maca.

Tongkat ali was tested at 200 mg a day for one month in 76 men. The gummy holds 25 mg. Maca trials used 1,500 to 3,000 mg a day, and the label's root equivalent is 100 mg. L-arginine trials in men with erection trouble used 1,500 to 5,000 mg a day. The label holds 10 mg.

That is arithmetic, not advice. The full table is on the label vs studies page.

  • Tongkat ali: extract on the label vs a trial

The label holds 12% of the low study amount
Per gummy on the HoneyBoost label25 mg
200 mg a day of a standardized extract for 1 month (76 men, open study)200 mg

Both bars use one scale. The label amount is printed on the Supplement Facts panel. (Tambi 2012, Tongkat Ali 200 mg and late-onset hypogonadism)

  • Maca: root equivalent vs trials

The label holds 6.7% of the low study amount
Per gummy on the HoneyBoost label100 mg
1,500 to 3,000 mg a day of gelatinized maca for 12 weeks in healthy men1,500-3,000 mg

Both bars use one scale. The label amount is printed on the Supplement Facts panel. (Gonzales 2002, Maca, desire and testosterone)

  • L-arginine: label vs trials in men with erection trouble

The label holds 0.67% of the low study amount
Per gummy on the HoneyBoost label10 mg
1,500 to 5,000 mg a day in trials of men with erection trouble1,500-5,000 mg

Both bars use one scale. The label amount is printed on the Supplement Facts panel. (Rhim 2019, Arginine for ED (meta-analysis))

Green bars: the amount printed on the HoneyBoost label for one gummy. Honey bars: the amount used in the study or guidance we found. A studied dose says what was tested, not what works for you, and no study tested HoneyBoost.

Taking it

How do you take HoneyBoost gummies?

The label sets the serving at 1 gummy (4.2 g), and a bottle is 30 servings. The supplied label prints no directions block, so the steps below come from the label's warnings and common sense.

The seller's FAQ page says one gummy a day with water; that is not on the label we read.

  1. 01

Check the seal and your medicines

On a new bottle, check that the seal is intact. Read the Supplement Facts. List any levodopa, nitrate, erection, blood pressure or diabetes medicine you take and ask your doctor or pharmacist first.

  2. 02

    Read your bottle for directions

The label's serving is 1 gummy (4.2 g). The supplied label shows no directions block, the seller's FAQ page says one gummy a day with water, and you should follow your own bottle. Go with what your bottle says.

  3. 03

    Keep one bottle a month

30 gummies at 1 a day is 30 days. A 3-bottle pack covers 90 days and 6 cover 180. Remember each gummy has 3 g of added sugar.

  4. 04

Track how you feel and see your doctor

Note sleep, stress and any side effects in a simple log. Erection trouble or low drive that lasts deserves a doctor's visit, whatever you take.

Read this before the first gummy

The label says: “Do not take if pregnant, lactating, suffering from a medical condition or taking other medications. Consult a physician before using this product.” Keep taking prescribed medicine. It is not for anyone under 18.

Limits

What does HoneyBoost not do?

It does not replace a doctor's visit. Erection trouble can point to diabetes, heart disease, low testosterone or a medicine side effect, and many of these are treatable (NIDDK, Causes of ED (incl. medicines, mood)) (Mayo Clinic, Male hypogonadism (low testosterone)).

Chest pain or other heart attack signs: call 911 (CDC, Heart attack signs). Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you take levodopa or an MAO inhibitor, nitrates or any erection medicine, or blood pressure or diabetes medicine. See side effects for the full list.

FAQ

HoneyBoost questions people ask

How does HoneyBoost work in the body?

The label names no mechanism, and we found no study of the product. Each line has its own research: tongkat ali and maca were studied for hormones and desire, L-arginine for erections, at amounts far above one gummy.

How long does HoneyBoost take to work?

No source gives a timeline for this product. Trials of single ingredients ran from 4 weeks to 12 weeks at larger amounts. A bottle covers 30 days at 1 gummy a day, so ask your doctor what to watch for.

Does HoneyBoost contain a drug?

The label lists none, and we found nothing showing a hidden one. The FDA has found hidden drugs in other enhancement products, so a doctor visit comes first.

Why does HoneyBoost have so much sugar?

The label does not say. It lists 3 g of added sugars (6% DV), and about 71% of the gummy's weight is sugar. Sugar and corn syrup lead the Other ingredients.

What makes HoneyBoost different from a multivitamin?

A multivitamin lists many vitamins at set Daily Values. HoneyBoost lists only one line with a Daily Value, zinc at 23%. Its other six lines are plant extracts and an amino acid with no Daily Value established.

Can HoneyBoost be taken with erection medicine?

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. L-arginine can lower blood pressure too much with nitrates and sildenafil, and the label says not to use it with other medications. Never stop a prescription because of a supplement.
