Can sexual performance supplements interact with medicines?
Yes. Some ingredients can lower blood pressure or act on the same pathways as prescription medicine. Never mix on your own.
L-arginine can drop blood pressure too low with nitrates and sildenafil (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). Nitrates and ED medicine together are contraindicated (StatPearls, PDE5 inhibitors (nitrates contraindicated)). Mucuna carries L-DOPA, so levodopa and MAO inhibitor users must ask first.
